SLEEP & THE MERIDIANS

Sleep is the foundation of health and wellbeing as it is during sleep that our bodies can heal, regenerate and renew. Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and Ayurveda (the traditional healing of India) both consider sleep to be an essential aspect of overall health, with disruptions in sleep being seen as a reflection of imbalances in the body's energy flow.

Slumber Soak could be considered for:

  • Difficulty getting to sleep

  • Difficulty staying asleep

  • Insomnia

  • Sleeplessness

  • Nightmares

  • Stress and worry

  • Tension

  • Tense Jaw

To correct these imbalances, one method is to utilize the meridians in the feet that are believed to be connected to various organs and systems in the body, including those involved in sleep regulation.

A foot soak or foot bath can be used to stimulate the meridians in the feet to support healthy sleep patterns by encouraging the flow of energy to these areas of the body and putting the body into harmony.

Each 1 oz. packet of Slumber Soak by Traditional Foot Soaks is sufficient for 2 treatments and contains 7 Chinese medicinal herbs.

You may also add a 1/2 cup of epsom salts into the foot bath if you want the benefits of additional magnesium.   Please make sure there are no other chemicals or additions in the epsom salts so as not to defeat the benefits of our traditional Chinese herbs.

Traditional foot soaks are not generally considered a healing modality in the west but have been used for generations in the east.
